The City College Theatre Arts and Film Department has been known for getting students and faculty members involved in the creation of memorable films, and this time a parody of the popular film “Star Trek”was its latest accomplishment.
The student created film pulled followers of the film from the woodwork to assist in its creation. Faculty members such as City College’s Vice President Michael Poindexter, who played Spock, and Language and Literature Divison Dean Albert Garcia who played Dr. McCoy, stared in the film.
The film was shown Aug. 23 to faculty and staff at the convocation for fall semester.
