City College moved up in the film industry with a first-place award for a parody called “iThrone”.
“iThrone”, a 40-second video that begins with a 3D-spin of an Apple gadget, resembles a flip phone, but once it spins around, it resembles a toilet seat. By pushing the center button, it allows the toilet to flush.

According to City College Theatre Arts and Film professor Robert Gore, the video was created by film students for a contest for iPhone Magazine.

“I wanted to thank everyone who went to view and “LIKE” the film programs film “iThrone,” said Gore. “We could not have won without all of you who voted.”

To see the videos for the “iThrone” and for the “Hobbit Parody”, a short film recently created for spring convocation by students in the film program, City Films, which replaced movie characters with administrators at City College, such as college President Kathryn Jeffery and Vice President of Administration Bob Martinelli, visit Youtube
